Why are PumpEase better than the other hands-free products on the market?
Flexibility - PumpEase can be worn over any nursing bra/cami/dress you choose or over nothing at all.
Quality - PumpEase are made from a high-performance technical fabric providing exceptional comfort, stretch and memory, easy care, and quick-dry & wicking qualities.
Innovation - PumpEase are designed with patented, "no-stitch" horn openings thus accommodating ALL makes and sizes of breast pump horns guaranteed. Our openings also offer more coverage than our competitors (just in case).
Durability - PumpEase have bartacks at each end of the horn openings for reinforcement - this is the same type of reinforcement stitching that you can find on your denim jeans.
Accessibility - PumpEase have a hook and eye closure at center front so that you can easily put it on, take it off and adjust it for fuller or less full days. We chose hook & eye because women are inherently familiar with it - they have been doing up their bras in the dark and behind their backs for over 80 years. ;-)
Design - PumpEase have no Velcro which not only wears out over time, but can catch-on and badly snag your other machine washables. It can also be very noisy when detaching, and if sleeping nearby, could potentially wake your baby. The PumpEase design also supports hand-compression and massage of your breasts.
Style - PumpEase are available in fun and fabulous prints! Why is it that when you become a mom, it's assumed that you no longer have any style?
Better for Baby - The bold graphics and colors of the PumpEase fabrics are stimulating to your baby if you pump on one side and nurse on the other. According to Dr. Sears, "The best way you as a parent can stimulate baby's vision is using black and white stripes or light and dark contrasting colors." So what about those nice soft pastels that used to be so popular in baby toys and nurseries? While these may look pretty to you, they do nothing visually for your baby. Research has proven that black and white contrasts register powerfully on baby's retina and send the strongest visual signals to baby's brain. Stronger signals mean more brain growth and faster visual development. Surround a baby with soft pastel colors, and you might as well be blindfolding him. Surround your baby with black and white or light and dark pictures, and watch your baby's eyes light up.
Size Range - PumpEase fit moms wearing bra sizes from 32AA to 48H and beyond.
Shop Canadian - PumpEase are designed and manufactured with love in Canada by a Mompreneur with over 20 years experience in the apparel industry.
How To Use?
Simply wrap PumpEase around your bust and fasten in the front over your nursing bra, nursing top (lower panels first) or over nothing at all. Insert the breast pump flanges into the openings, centering over your nipples and then start pumping. You will enjoy having both hands free to read, write, text, talk on the phone, surf, bank online or tend to your baby - ALL while pumping!
General Size Chart - use your maternity or nursing bra as a guideline
If this is your first baby, it is best to be fit for a nursing bra during the last month of pregnancy. This is approximately the same size you'll be once breastfeeding is established. Avoid being fit for a nursing bra in the first two weeks after giving birth, which is when most Moms are "fullest"; things level off once your body adjusts to your baby's demand.
Most women increase one band size and one cup size, but there are no guarantees. If you have had previous children (and can remember what size your nursing bra was!), usually you can use this as a guide for your current pregnancy.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are at all near the borders between sizes, please proceed below to take an Overbust Measurement to confirm the size that you require.
Fabric & Care
We exclusively use an 88% high-count polyester/12% spandex micro fiber knit for PumpEase. This exceptional technical fabric delivers high-performance & durability, comfort & softness against the skin, ease of care, excellent stretch & memory (it won't bag-out after use or shrink during washing), breathability, quick-dry & wicking qualities and colour fastness.
We recommend washing PumpEase by hand or machine in warm water, no bleach and hang to dry. In a pinch you could machine dry your PumpEase, however because of the spandex in the fabric, we don't recommend this on a regular basis as dryer heat will eventually break the spandex down.
